Introduction to OS and GSOC

Open source

Open source refers to a type of software that is released with its source code publicly available and can be freely used, modified, and distributed by anyone. Open source software encourages collaboration and community-driven development, allowing users to view, modify, and contribute to the codebase.

GSOC

GSoC stands for Google Summer of Code. It is an annual program organized by Google that encourages students to participate in open source software development. GSoC provides an opportunity for students to work on real-world projects with established open source organizations and receive a stipend for their contributions over the summer.
